Inspite of senior BJP leader Ram Madhav continuous approach, prominent leaders of TDP like Ch Adinayarana Reddy, JC Diwakar Reddy, Ganta Srinivas Rao and Payyavula Keshav are yet to make up their mind over joining BJP.  
The BJP high-ranking leaders, including AP BJP chief Kanna Lakshminarayana, held a series of talks with TDP leaders and is confident that majority of TDP members will join the saffron party soon.
While, the ruling YSRCP Congress Party has made it clear that sitting legislators of TDP should first resign from their posts and then join the party.
According to the sources, TDP MLAs who are not confident of facing the electorate again would join BJP, while those who are confident of winning again on any party ticket are going towards YSRCP.
Meanwhile,the party in power that is YSRCP is laying its focus on districts where it is not strong like Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Guntur and Rajahmundry to further strengthen its position.
