The ruling TRS has begun its preparations for the upcoming municipal elections. Party working president KT Rama Rao on Wednesday declared that the party was ready for the polls any time and exuded confidence of winning all the 141 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in Telangana.
Having successfully completed the party membership enrolment, Rama Rao asked the party cadre to gear up for the municipal polls. He held a brainstorming session with party general secretaries at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday to prepare the party cadre for the municipal elections.
TRS committees led by the party general secretaries and secretaries were appointed as in-charges for 17 Parliamentary constituencies to oversee and coordinate preparations for the polls. They were instructed to work in coordination with TRS MPs and MLAs to ensure the party’s victory in the elections. “Considering an increased presence of the party members and the good governance of the TRS government, the party will sweep the municipal elections and repeat its success story. But, there should not be any laxity in terms of our preparations. The party in-charges must take more responsibilities in this regard,” Rama Rao told the party leaders.
