Etela stresses on affordable medicare

Centre for Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Science and Technology, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad has organised a two-day national symposium on the topic ‘Clinical  Pharmacy Practice and Clinical Research Conference  –  CLINICON  2019’ on the university campus recently.
Speaking at the inaugural event, Health Minister Etela Rajender highlighted importance of research and innovations in pharma industry.
He urged all participants to develop affordable and cost effective medicine for benefit of common man. He also spoke about the placement of pharmacy students in government hospitals and dispensaries.
JNTU-H registrar Dr N Yadaiah stressed on the importance of role of pharmacist in the healthcare and encouraged students to develop new skills and serve the humanity.Other speakers at the event spoke about the research and innovation required in the field of pharmacy. They said syllabus should be updated constantly in accordance with the developments in the field.
More than 1,000 participants registered for the conference and over 110 papers were presented during the two-day national symposium.
JNTU-H rector Dr A Govardhan and symposium convener Dr M Sunitha Reddy also took part in the event.
