The CBI special court here has issued summons to A.P. Minister Botcha Satyanarayana to appear before it on September 12 to depose evidence in the Volkswagen case. In 2005, the erstwhile united A.P. government had released funds towards equity investment to Vashista Wahan, a purported joint venture of Volkswagen. Mr. Satyanarayana was Minister for Major Industries then. The government ordered investigation by CBI which filed charge-sheet.
