Ban DMK for ‘secessionism’, says AIADMK

The ruling AIADMK on Tuesday demanded that the DMK be banned for promoting “secessionist tendencies” in Tamil Nadu.
Raising the demand, D. Jayakumar, AIADMK organising secretary and Fisheries Minister, alleged that DMK spokesperson A. Saravanan had, during a televised debate, made certain remarks to the effect that Jammu and Kashmir was not an integral part of India.
“The DMK is testing the waters by letting its spokesperson make these kinds of remarks. It is a dangerous trend which should be nipped in the bud. This is why I demand that the Centre ban the DMK,” Mr. Jayakumar said.
