DMK to reveal plan for Nanguneri after notification of poll, says M.K. Stalin

The DMK will decide on fielding a candidate in the Nanguneri byelection after the poll notification is issued by the Election Commission, party president M.K. Stalin has said, even as the Congress is planning to field its candidate again.
The Nanguneri bypoll was necessitated after the Congress MLA from the segment, H. Vasanthakumar, resigned after being elected to the Lok Sabha from the Kanniyakumari Parliamentary constituency in May.
Speaking to reporters after garlanding the statue of freedom fighter Ondiveeran at his memorial in Palayamkottai on the occasion of his death anniversary on Tuesday, Mr. Stalin said the ruling AIADMK, in a bid to bury its failures and corrupt rule, was coming out with announcements on the creation of new districts.
