NMC bill row: T JUDA decides to boycott emergency duties, members to go on a hunger strike

In a sudden development, junior doctors from all teaching hospitals in Telangana including Osmania, Gandhi etc.have decided to boycott all duties including emergency duties from today 2 pm onwards. This decision was taken to mount pressure on Centre to make amendments to certain clauses even as the bill is set to come up for discussion on Thursday.
Already, resident doctors from AIIMS, New Delhi are boycotting elective and emergency duties from Thursday and junior doctors from Telqngana also decided to join them by boycotting duties indefinitely from today and also go on hunger strike protesting against the NMC bill. Meanwhile, Gandhi Superintendent Dr Sravan Kumar stated that they were not given any prior strike notice by the doctors.
He said he brought the junior doctors strike decision to the notice of Health Minister. Gandhi Superintendent said that services are likely to be affected if the senior doctors also express support to the strike.
