Raj Bhavan holds a farewell program for Governor

Raj Bhavan Kohima family organized a farewell program for outgoing governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya and his wife, Kavita Acharya, at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan Kohima on Wednesday.
According to a Raj Bhavan statement, the governor expressed his gratitude to his officers, staff and security personnel at Raj Bhavan Kohima for supporting and making his stay comfortable during the past five years as the Governor of Nagaland.

Stating that people working at Raj Bhavan had an added advantage, Acharya encouraged his officers and staffs to make use of their position in a positive way by strengthening society. Governor expressed his desire for a developed and established Nagaland and called upon the gathering to achieve that goal by playing their respective roles efficiently. “I have enriched myself with knowledge, friendship and love during my tenure as the Governor of Nagaland and I thank you for all the love and support you all have shown me”, Acharya stated.
In his speech, commissioner & secretary to the governor, Dinesh Kumar, stated that it has been an honour and privilege for all to have worked with governor Acharya. 
He said that governor Acharya, known as the people’s governor, would be remembered for his love and concern for Nagaland and its people. Over the last five years, Dinesh stated that the governor under his initiatives organised free medical camps, students and teacher exchange programmes and other outreach programmes such as meeting with service providers, interacting with orphans and inventing to stay at Raj Bhavan, advocating government welfare programmes etc all for the benefit of the people of the State. He added that all those activities have been a positive experience for the staffs of Raj Bhavan.
