Amid Mamata Banerjee Fuming Over 'Jai Shri Ram' Chants, Top Trinamool Leader Plans Ram Statue In His Turf In West Bengal

Even as West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee courted controversy after she lashed out at those chanting 'Jai Shri Ram' her party member Madan Moitra has declared that he will hold Ram Katha in his home turf in Bhawanipur from July 24. He will also put up statues of Gods Ram and Sita along with that of Goddess Durga during the puja.
After a group chanted 'Jai Shri Ram' as her cavalcade was passing, she got furious and later even asked the state police to find out whether the group which was chanting the slogan were from outside.In June, she had lashed out at the BJP and the media for reports of her displeasure at sloganeers shouting 'Jai Shri Ram' in West Bengal. The TMC chief had also taken to Facebook to explain that each party has its own slogan and that she did not have any problem with any slogan.
