CM should clear the air on Bandar port: Lokesh

Telugu Desam Party national general secretary and former Minister Nara Lokesh made a scathing attack on the YSRCP government in a series of tweets on Wednesday. Referring to GO 62, the TDP leader pointed out that the government issued the GO as confidential on June 28 and two days later, it said the GO was not issued.
Tagging Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, he said that the people have many doubts over Bandar port (Machilipatnam port). The Chief Minister has to give a clarity, he said, adding, “ports are a boon by nature to Seemandhra. None has authority to take decision on such ports, which are right of Andhrites.”
His tweet comes in the wake of speculation that the State government has handed it over to Telangana.
Mr. Lokesh, listing out the expenditure on the construction of a 2.3 km road from Mr. Jagan’s residence to the Secretariat, toilets, barricades and a helipad, said that the government spent ₹8.9 crore. The government has funds for such things but not for mid-day meal of Intermediate students. “Why the government is depriving 2 lakh poor students of food if it intended savings?” he asked.
