‘All MLAs should be consulted on new Secretariat, Assembly’

Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Bhatti Vikramarka has demanded that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao discuss the construction of new Secretariat and the Assembly with all the MLAs and other parties and seek their opinion.
He said Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao was not constructing his own house but the Secretariat and Assembly, which were the properties of the State and the people. “He can’t take a unilateral decision,” he said at a press conference here.
Where is the need for new Assembly and a Secretariat leaving aside the pressing problems of the people, he asked and demanded a white paper on the State finances, loans and its usage. Double bedroom houses, free education, filling up of vacancies have all been relegated to the background and KCR’s focus is on construction of these two buildings, he said.
Mr. Bhatti charged that Telangana has been pushed into a debt trap due to the policies of Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao who has raised ₹ 1.20 lakh crore in just four years.
