Kallada challenging public: Minister

Transport Minister A.K. Saseendran has said that the buses of Suresh Kallada Travels were challenging the public and that appropriate action will be taken against the services.
“The owners of the bus have not even apologized for the incident in which one of their drivers misbehaved with a woman recently,” he told reporters here on Sunday. The proper inquiry would be conducted into the incident at Maradu, Ernakulam, in which employees of the service provider manhandled some passengers. The permit of the bus had not been revoked yet. The action would be taken against the official who had erred, he said.
The Minister said that the State had not been informed of any contract carriage strike, and hence, had not thought of measures to tackle the situation. He said that he came to know about the strike call by the Interstate Bus Owners’ Association Kerala (IBOA) through the media.
