TDP condemns attack on hospital in Narasaraopet

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) condemned the attack on a private hospital and manhandling of two of its doctors at Narasaraopet in Guntur district, allegedly by YSRCP activists.
TDP MLC and official spokesperson Dokka Manikya Varaprasad, in a statement on Wednesday, alleged that the ruling party workers attacked the hospital and threatened a woman as her father could not clear the debts and betting amount. The hospital property and doctor’s chamber were damaged. It was the duty of the State government to provide security to Dr. Ramya and Dr. Aswinikanth of Sri Karthik Hospital on Palnadu Road in Narasaraopet, he said.
The apprehensions of people about the YSRCP in 2014 came true in 2019. The party has turned out to be care of address for lawlessness. It was unfortunate the YSRCP workers were resorting to physical assaults and damaging public properties.
Cement roads, anganwadi buildings, Anna canteens, etc, were damaged in the recent past. A cement road to Uppalapadu village was dug with earth movers as the villagers did not vote for the YSRCP.
The YSRCP workers were attacking the TDP workers and sympathisers and asking them to leave the villages. Likewise, some farmers were not allowed to enter their fields. The villagers of Turakapalem planned to meet former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to pour out their woes, but the police did not allow them to proceed, he alleged.
