Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tenure as Andhra Pradesh CM — a timeline
YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has completed more than a fortnight as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
Son of two-time chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, Jagan Mohan said he would try to serve the state better than his father.
Jagan joined politics as a Congress member in 2004. In 2010, he quit the party to form YSRCP a year later.
As a leader, Jagan developed a connection with people over 15 years of his political journey. From Odarpu Yatra (condolence tour) to an indefinite fast in support of special category status for the state, he never stopped being amid the crowd. His attempts to gain confidence of the masses may have led to his party securing a strong mandate in the 2019 Assembly elections.

Hours after assuming office, Jagan’s government on May 31 decided to cancel all projects sanctioned prior to April 1, 2019, by the previous N Chandrababu Naidu-led government, but work on which was yet to take-off.
