Assam industry minister, Chandra Mohan Patwary said that Japanese companies are keen to invest in Assam. 

He said that led by Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) around 150 companies will have meeting in New Delhi. “I will discuss with these companies possible area of investment during the meeting on Wednesday.”
