Congress workers to protest in capital tomorrow over power-water shortage

On June 18, Congress workers, led by State Congress Committee Chairman Sheila Dikshit, will protest in all 70 Delhi assemblies over power-water shortages at 70 places. In Delhi, power outages are taking place at many places due to the heat wave and water supply in many parts of the state.
On June 12, former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit met CM Kejriwal and demanded free electricity for six months in lieu of Rs 7401 crore collected in 1 year in the name of fixed charge. The BJP has demanded an inquiry into the matter, terming it as a serious matter for not appointing two members in the DERC. Former Union Minister Vijay Goel, speaking to the press, termed the Kejriwal government's cheap power slogan as false. Asks the Government to return 7000 crore of fixed charges to the public
