GK: Rare copy of Guru Granth Sahib sold for Rs12 crore

Slamming SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal, who recently met Union Home Minister Amit Shah demanding return of documents seized by the Army after Operation Bluestar, former DSGMC president Manjit Singh GK said he would lodge a complaint with the Amritsar Police and Akal Takht as the government had already returned such documents to the SGPC in a phased manner.
GK claimed that the Centre’s department concerned had receipt of the SGPC. He said the complaint would be filed in Amritsar against Harjinder Singh Dalgir, the then Director of Sikh Reference Library.
He alleged that according to a media report a rare copy of the Guru Granth Sahib signed by Guru Gobind Singh was sold for Rs 12 crore by SGPC members. Other rare documents were also missing, he alleged.
