Speculation rife about MNS joining opposition alliance

After Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray met Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar on Friday, Congress leader Manikrao Thakre visited Raj at his residence in Dadar, sparking the speculation that MNS may finally join the opposition bandwagon.
Even though MNS has not contested a single seat in the recently held Lok Sabha elections, Raj campaigned for Congress and NCP candidates. However, after the serious drubbing of both Congress and NCP, the opposition leaders are keen on including MNS in their alliance.
However, Manikrao denied that the meeting was political. “It was an informal meeting and there was no political discussion,” said Manikrao. Previously when Raj met Pawar at his residence at Peddar Road, their meeting was a and long detailed one, where the two are said to have discussed political strategy for the forthcoming Assembly elections. This meeting lasted for 45 minutes.
