Odisha government believes in constructive cooperation with Centre: Naveen Patnaik

Fifth time Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik on Monday said that he owes the success to the Biju Janata Dal party workers. In an exclusive interview with the India Today TV, Naveen Patnaik said that he wanted to thank the women of Odisha who came out in large numbers to vote.

When asked about Bharatiya Janata Party's massive victory in the Lok Sabha 2019 election, Naveen Patnaik said that the party has done extremely well.
"In Odisha, we have concentrated on people and their development. We hope to take Odisha to new heights," added Naveen Patnaik.

"The government of Odisha believes in constructive cooperation with the Centre," said Naveen Patnaik when asked about the increase in BJP's vote share in Odisha.

Odisha Chief Minister also said that Congress did not perform well in the Lok Sabha 2019 election and need to work hard.

"BJP, on the other hand, is becoming tougher to compete with because they are well fueled," added Naveen Patnaik.

Naveen Patnaik also mentioned that his party BJD has not chosen a successor yet and the decision, whenever taken, will be made by the people of Odisha.
