The Lok Sabha polls in Tamil Nadu this time were fought between the AIADMK and DMK led fronts but without the presence of their iconic leaders Jayalalithaa and Karunanidhi. 

A Times Now-VMR exit poll has predicted that the AIADMK and BJP alliance will be reduced to just 9 seats, down from the 37 seats that the AIADMK got in the last elections in 2014.
