he Election Commision has ordered repolling at 13 polling stations in Tamil Nadu. The repolling will be conducted along with the local assembly bye elections in the state on May 19.
Eight stations in Dharmapuri, two in Theni and one each in Thiruvallur, Cuddalore and Erode will go to polls on May 19, Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Satyabrata Sahoo said.
On Wednesday morning, CEO Sahoo said that errors were found during polling in 46 booths across 13 districts. He said that the same had been communicated to the Election Commission. The reason stated was that the presiding officers of this 46 booths did not format the EVMs after mock polling.
The top election official Sahoo had earlier told the media that he recommended the EC to conduct repolls in 10 stations across the state for the Lok Sabha polls.
