A Congress delegation led by Gujarat Congress president Amit Chavda and Leader of Opposition Paresh Dhanani on Wednesday sought disqualification of BJP MLA Pabubha Manek in connection with his 'defective' nomination form. The seven-time MLA and former minister Manek's election from Dwarka Assembly constituency had been nullified by the Gujarat High Court due to defective nomination form.
The Congress said that despite the HC order of April 12, he was yet to be disqualified. "The speaker is being partial," said Congress leaders after meeting with speaker Rajendra Trivedi. The delegation among others included Gujarat Congress president Amit Chavda and Leader of Opposition Paresh Dhanani.
