EVM glitches disrupt polling in many booths across Odisha

Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) which were introduced for the first time across the State, disrupted polling briefly in many constituencies due to technical glitches.
While polling began late in some booths, it had to be halted at others till the machines were replaced or rectified.
Reportedly, glitches in EVM have been reported from the booths in Bhubaneswar-Ekamra constituency, Bhubaneswar-Central, Banki, Ranpur, and Nayagarh
According to reports, voting was delayed at booth no 112 in Bhubaneswar-Ekamra constituency, booth no 32 and 70 in Bhubaneswar-Central and booth no 96 and 109 in Banki and booth no 128 and 130 in Ranpur, and Nayagarh.
Tension prevailed at polling booths in Puri after EVM glitches was reported from booth no 146 at Gadadhar School, booth no 148 at Puri Sadar, booth no 5 at Balipatpur (Brahmagiri),booth no 258 at Chaneswar Dev School (Pipili), booth no 179 at Rajabagicha .
Similar incidents were also reported booth no 12 in Cuttack, Radhanath training center, Cuttack Kajibajar booth no 76,  booth no 169 in Badambadi (Cuttack), booth no 288 in Jatni followed by booth no 145, 101, 135, 138 in Kuchinda.
