BJP ran negative campaign to hide its failures, alleges Congress

The Opposition Congress, on Sunday, accused the BJP of running a negative election campaign to hide failures of its governments at the state and Centre.
Speaking with reporters just before the campaigning for the April 23 polls ended, state Congress president Amit Chavda said his party had campaigned on positive issues, while the BJP had resorted to a negative campaign.
"The BJP government has failed on all fronts in the last five years. Unemployment is at record highs. Farmers are in distress. The Congress raised issues concerning the people, but the BJP, instead of giving an account of the work done by it, carried out a negative campaign with cheap remarks," Chavda alleged.
