CM promises separate board for poultry industry

AIADMK leader and Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Thursday assured that a separate board would be set up for the poultry industry in Tamil Nadu.
Hitting the road to canvass votes for his party’s Lok Sabha election candidates P. Kalliappan (Namakkal) and K.R.S. Saravanan (Salem) he said, “Namakkal is known for poultry farming and to cater to the needs of poultry farmers here, a separate board for poultry will be formed.”
Hitting out at DMK president M.K. Stalin, Mr. Palaniswami said that the latter has been levelling false allegations against the government during the campaigns but has not spoken about the welfare schemes implemented. Mr. Stalin did not possess the qualities to become a leader, he said. “Political criticisms are acceptable, but making personal attacks against other political leaders, including senior leaders like [PMK founder] Dr. Ramadoss is not okay. Stalin behaves like he is the only political leader in town,” he added.
