Stalin kicks off roadshow from his Kolathur seat

.K.M. Colony in Kolathur wore a festive look on Sunday evening. As hundreds of residents waited patiently for the arrival of the DMK president, the cadre kept waving party flags to match the music.
Once Stalin’s caravan reached, chants of ‘Thalapathy, Thalapathy’ rent the air. Taking the mike, he said he had been campaigning non-stop from March 20. “I came to the city only this morning. My father advised me not to waste time during elections. So, here I am,” he told, much to the delight of the crowd.
Kicking off his campaign in the city from the Kolathur Assembly constituency that he represents, Mr. Stalin, accompanied by the party’s Chennai North candidate Kalanidhi Veerasamy, attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“In the past five years, Modi has failed in his promises. He has not brought back black money. He has not deposited ₹15 lakh in each person’s bank account. He has not taken any steps to improve the employment opportunities in the country,” Mr. Stalin charged. He then asked the youth in the crowd to raise their hands if any of them had got jobs in the five years, for which they responded in the negative.
