Defections from the Congress party continued with L.B. Nagar MLA D. Sudheer Reddy deciding to shift his loyalties to Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS). With the exit of Mr. Reddy, the total number of Congress MLAs deciding to join the TRS has reached seven.
Mr. Reddy met the TRS working president, K.T. Rama Rao, on Friday evening at a private place and decided to leave Congress after an assurance that the government would focus on his constituency and the traffic issues. He is likely to meet Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao in a day or two for further discussions.
