Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday announced candidates for four out of five seats that will go to polls to fill vacancies from MLAs quota in the Legislative Council on March 12.
The TRS has left the fifth seat to its friendly party AIMIM.
The candidates announced by Mr. Rao are Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali who has been renominated, former MLA Satyavathi Rathod, chairman of State Mineral Development Corporation Seri Subhash Reddy and Mr. Egge Mallesham.
The TRS stood a chance of winning all the four seats due to its strength in the Assembly. The nominations opened on Thursday.
