Directions issued to arrest Congress MLA, says Kumaraswamy

Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy on Saturday said directions have been issued for the arrest of MLA for Kampli J.N. Ganesh of the Congress, who was involved in a brawl with former Minister Anand Singh at a resort on the outskirts of Bengaluru recently.
Reacting to a taunt on Twitter by @BJP4 Karnatakawhich asked the Chief Minister to “show some valour” by arresting Mr. Ganesh before patting his own back by claiming credit for the coalition government in the arrest of Ravi Pujari, Mr. Kumaraswamy asked why the BJP had failed to arrest the gangster when it was in power for five years. “Ravi Pujari’s illegal activities began in 2001. Why was the BJP, which ruled the State for five years, unable to arrest him?” he asked. He claimed that State officials had been continuously in touch with officials in Senegal, and it eventually led to the gangster’s arrest.
Meanwhile, in Mandya, Home Minister M.B. Patil said there was no question of protecting the Kampli legislator, who has been absconding for days. He said the police were hunting for Mr. Ganesh and he is suspected to have taken shelter in Goa. He will be arrested soon, Mr. Patil said.
