Health Minister K.K. Shylaja on Thursday inaugurated 13 projects at the Government Medical College Hospital here on Thursday. On the occasion, the Minister said the State government was committed to ensure quality medical service to the public. A slew of projects had been implemented under the Ardram project. “A total of 170 Primary Health Centres (PHC) have been upgraded to Family Health Centres (FHC) while another 504 PHCs are on course to become FHCs soon. Efforts are also on to upgrade the government medical colleges into centres of excellence,” she said.
