The Lok Sabha on Tuesday passed the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019, which seeks to give Indian citizenship to refugees of minority communities – Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians – from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
