BJP, Congress Plan To Target BJD On Its Foundation Day

While the Biju Janata Dal’s (BJD) preparations for its 21st foundation day are on in full swing, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress have chalked out their respective strategies to corner the BJD with the saffron party announcing a ‘Jabab Maguchi Odisha’ (Odisha Seeks Answers) campaign while the Congress has decided to observe the day as ‘Black Day’ in all the panchayats across the State.

Odisha Congress chief Niranjan Patnaik said that the party will observe December 26 as ‘Black Day’ protesting the attempt of the ruling-BJD to trample the rights of panchayat samitis. “By observing ‘Balck Day’, we want to make people aware how the constitutional rights of the panchayat samitis are being withdrawn,” said Patnaik.
On the other hand, the BJP said that the party will launch a campaign named ‘Jabab Maguchi Odisha’ tomorrow to create awareness among public about the rampant corruption in the State. “The BJP will work like a facilitator and make people aware about rampant corruption,” said State BJP general secretary, Prithviraj Harichandan.
