DMK president M.K. Stalin and TNCC president Su. Thiurnavukkarasar should not politicise the Mekedatu reservoir issue. Instead, they should take up the matter with the Chief Minister of Karnataka H. D. Kumaraswamy, said BJP State president Tamilisai Soundararajan.
Both leaders should explain to the Karnataka Chief Minister how the construction of a reservoir across Cauvery at Mekedatu would badly affect the interests of the entire farming community of Tamil Nadu and urge him to do away with the project, instead of playing politics over this issue, she told reporters here.
