‘Intintiki BJP’ to go on till 2019 polls

Unfazed by disappointing results in the recently-held elections in five states, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is reportedly going to extend its ‘Intintiki BJP’ campaign in the temple city till the 2019 elections.
The BJP was initially planning to conduct the door-to-door campaign in the city till December 15, but a recent advisory from the party’s state headquarters has indicated that the campaign will be continued till the elections.
Party activists have been criss-crossing the divisions in the temple city since the programme’s launch in December 1. A team of 50 workers arrives in a division, where it splits into five teams of 10 members each. The teams then branch out to five streets where they visit households and talk to the people about the Central government’s initiatives during the last four years.
“The BJP’s helping hand to the state’s institutions, uninterrupted power, development of Tirupati airport, loans to small traders under the Mudra scheme and hassle-free supply of LPG cylinders are some of the issues that BJP workers will speak about,” said a leader.
