Govt okays Rs 40.52-cr bridge project in Najafgarh
The Delhi government’s expenditure and finance committee on Wednesday sanctioned a slew of proposals, including construction of two bridges on the Najafgarh drain with an estimated cost of Rs 40.52 crore and redevelopment of city’s five road stretches in a year, besides the nod to installation of high-end CCTV cameras in the three prison complexes in the capital.
The committee, in a meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Manish Sisodia, cleared building of two four-lane bridges on the Najafgarh drain in place of the existing single-lane bridges causing inconvenience to commuters due to traffic jam.
With the bridge at Badusarai on the drain people will have hassle-free travel from Badu Sarai, Shikarpur, Gummanhera, Daurala, Dhansa, Jhuljhuli and other areas of Najafgarh and an easy access to Radhopur, Nanakheri and other villages of Haryana and Gurugram lying on the other side.
