Eminent historian Prof Mushirul Hasan, who has served as pro Vice-Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Milia Islamia, passed away early this morning.
Prof Hasan was 69 and associated with several other prestigious organisations. He is known for his writings on partition of India, besides several other areas.
CM Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia condoled his demise. "Shocked to know about the sad demise of noted scholar and writer Mushir ul Hasan ji. His contribution to Jamia Milla Islamia will always be remembered," tweeted Kejriwal.
