RIFN for welfare of indigenous Rongmei of Nagaland

In pursuance of the notification issued by the Government of Nagaland on August 4, 2012, with regard to the recognition of Rongmei tribe as one of the indigenous inhabitants of Nagaland, the Rongmei Indigenous Forum of Nagaland (RIFN) was formed to protect and preserve the identity of the 1313 enumerated by the Government.
The RIFN is “a separate entity having formed to work for the welfare of the Indigenous Rongmeis who had settled permanently in Nagaland prior to 1963,” stated a press release today from RIFN President, G Patrick Rongmei and General Secretary, R Kamei.
