Congress confident in old Nizamabad

The Congress would sweep nine out of nine seats in erstwhile Nizamabad district as apart from Congress traditional voters, women and newly enrolled youth also voted for the party, Former Minister P. Sudarshan Reddy said here on Saturday.
At a joint press conference at the Congress Bhavan, he said that entire anti-government vote had gone in favor of his party. Polling increased by at least 15,000 in every constituency indicating the defeat of the TRS, he said.
He congratulated Kesa Venu who assumed charge as new District Congress Committee president in the place of Taher Bin Hamdan who contested in Nizamabad urban constituency.
