State interests will go for a toss: Harish Rao

Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao has warned people that the interests of Telangana will suffer if people vote for Congress, Telugu Desam and their alliance parties.
Addressing a meeting at TRS office here on the occasion of some Congress leaders from Andole constituency joining the party, Mr. Rao said the Congress is treading in the path of Telugu Desam. The Congress talked about stopping Kalyanalaxmi programme of extending Rs. 1 lakh assistance to brides of poor families and scrap the Kaleswaram lift-irrigation project, he said. The former MP of Congress M. Anjan Kumar Yadav went to the extent of saying that the Congress will end the ‘drunken driving’ checks while another leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy set up obstacles to power plant at Yadadri, he said.

Mr. Rao asked people to consider whether they want opportunistic politics of the Opposition parties or the development agenda of TRS. He ridiculed the remarks of BJP president Amit Shah made here on Sunday that there will be change in ruling party in Telangana after polls.
