Opposition parties on Sunday criticised BJP president Amit Shah’s remarks on the Sabrimala verdict and said that the Supreme Court should take cognizance of Shah’s statement.
In a press statement, BSP chief Mayawati  said, “The statement of the ruling party president is condemnable and irresponsible. Such irresponsible remarks from the president of the party ruling at the Centre shows that democracy of the country is in danger.”
Addressing a gathering in Kannur, Kerala, on Saturday, Shah said courts should not give “impractical” directions and should pass orders that can be implemented.
