BJP stockpiling money to buy MLAs after polls, says CM Lal Thanhawla

On Friday, chief Minister of Mizoram Lal Thanhawla said that the BJP party is stockpiling currency to crores so to use it for horse-trading on November 28 after the election. He said that this money is being kept inside the state headquarters of the central paramilitary forces.
CM Lal Thanhawla, while addressing  the Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) workers at the Congress Bhavan said that he has no idea of where the money is being kept, whether in the headquarters of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) or the Assam Rifles here. He said that the money is being stockpiled so to be used for shopping after the election.
“BJP would do what they have done in Meghalaya – poaching legislators from other political parties. The saffron party would be making all-out efforts to buy elected legislators from other parties to from government in the state,” he added.
Though the Mizo National Front (MNF) has ruled out the possibility of a pre-poll alliance with the BJP, Thanhawla said MNF is just a proxy of the saffron party as it is also a part of the BJP-led North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA).
