BJP state executive member Peddireddy Ravi Kiran said that the state government aims to deceive AgriGold customers by hatching a conspiracy. The party has demanded a CBI probe into the AgriGold scam.
Peddireddy said that 32 lakh families from eight states are victims of the AgriGold scam. He said that the state government should help the victims by providing them financial and other assistance as was done in the Saradha scam in West Bengal.
There have been violation of RBI and SEBI Acts found as part of the AgriGold scam. An inquiry should be made by CBI to probe all these aspects. He said that the BJP would take up agitation at Vijayawada under the leadership of its state president Kanna Lakshm-inarayana. The BJP national general secretary Varanasi Rammadhav would attend the agitation.
