Minister Zameer Offers to Send Mangalore Hotel Cook to Mecca Pilgrimage

In an act of generosity, a minister gave a hefty tip of Rs 25,000 to employees at a restaurant as an appreciation to their culinary skills. Further, the food and civil supplies minister also offered to send cook Haneef Mohammed of Boliyarthe to Meca pilgrimage.
The minister BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan, along with other politicians had gone for a lunch to ‘Fish Market’ in Mangaluru’s Lower Bendoor. The ministers were served pomfret and anjal, along with other varieties of fish. Mr Khan told a partner cook that he had never eaten such delicious food and asked him to call the main cook. Later, the minister showered praise on Haneef Mohammed for his cooking skills.
Meanwhile, Mr Khan also made the cook sit beside him, and fed him out of his own plate, TOI reported. Later, he gave Rs 5,000 as a tip to the cook, and Rs 20,000 to all other employees as a token of appreciation.
“It was an unexpected moment. I have served many politicians, including Rahul Gandhi and Ghulam Nabi Azad, but never received such appreciation for my cooking. It was a momentous day in my 18-year-long professional life,” Haneef told.
