Laxmi Hebbalkar claims BJP tried to lure her

KPCC Women's Wing president and Belagavi Rural MLA Laxmi Hebbalkar stated that she was lured by BJP, with an offer of a cabinet berth and Rs 30 crore. Speaking to reporters in Belagavi on Friday, Hebbalkar said that while she was in Hyderabad, a BJP woman leader called her and made the offer. She alleged that she was 'offered a ministerial berth and Rs 30 crore'.

“I told the BJP leader that I was a loyal Congress party worker, and the party had helped me grow to this stature. I refused to quit the party. I was called with that offer between May 14 and 18. I handed over the record of calls and messages received; to then KPCC president Dr G Parameshwar, and also informed former chief minister Siddaramaiah and AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal,” Hebbalkar stated.
