The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP’s) State leadership is a relieved lot after the party national president Amit Shah launched a vitriolic attack on the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) chief and caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao during his visit to the State.
By directly hitting out at Mr. Rao and targeting the Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) at a press conference here and at a public meeting in Mahabubnagar later in the evening, Mr. Shah tried to send a clear message to the party leaders and cadres that the BJP did not have any tacit understanding with the regional party here.
