Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Uttam Kumar Reddy warned that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will face action once Congress comes to power and the police too would have to answer for their actions. He said that Congress was not ready to tolerate any aggression against the party.
Addressing the Minority Garjana programme held here on Wednesday evening, Mr Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that former MLA T. Jayaprakash Reddy was arrested by the police without any notice.
“I have a copy of the confession statement of 2004-05 given by one of the accused. Leaders like Mr Chandrasekhar Rao sent people to the USA. As many as eight persons were sent to the US. Present Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao, as a minister in Andhra Pradesh cabinet, wrote a letter to US Embassy mentioning a Gujarati lady as his wife. Names Kashipet Lingaiah, Madusudhan Reddy and Ajit Reddy were there. There was no mention of Jayaprakash Reddy in the statement,” he said.
