A total of 154 school, college and university teachers were awarded and honoured on Wednesday as the State government celebrated Teachers’ Day here. The teachers received medals, certificates and a cash award of Rs. 10,000 on the occasion. As many as 35 schools were given Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar for keeping their buildings clean.
Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society, Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society and Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society were given eight awards in total. Mahatma Jyothi Ba Phoole BC Welfare Residential Educational Institutional Society received six awards.
