Congress party Rajya Sabha Member and AICC official spokesman Syed Naseer Hussain said the Rafale fighter jets purchase deal is the biggest scam in the country and described it as an effort to benefit the crony capitalists closer to the ruling party leaders at the Centre to the tune of thousands of crores of rupees.
At a press conference here on Monday, he said the Modi government violated all terms and conditions in the defence purchase deals and deceived the nation by allegedly giving false reports in the name of development. Public money was misappropriated on a large scale in the Rafale deal, he said.
