Do away with NEET, says Veeramani

Dravidar Kazhagam president K. Veeramani on Sunday called for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test to be abolished.
In a statement, he said, “Crusaders of social justice should take a vow on the first death anniversary of S. Anitha [a Dalit medical aspirant who challenged NEET in the Supreme Court] that they would work towards getting NEET abolished.”
The cause of social justice had overcome many hurdles over the years, he said, questioning the rationale behind conducting NEET when there was no common syllabus across the country.
