Rajya Sabha member Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar said that he was surprised to hear retired judge Gopala Gowda’s comment that the land pooling done by the State government for the construction of Amaravati has no legal sanctity and that he was ready for an open debate on the issue.
He pointed out that it was with the consent of farmers that land pooling was done and claimed that no other State followed that model which the State implemented successfully.
